Hors d'oeuvres and cash bar will be available. There are six Rotaries on the peninsula with different meeting times and community focus. Several clubs also have companion/service memberships for those that can't fit a meeting into their schedule. The clubs on the peninsula have joined together last year and this year to secure district grants that are making a significant difference in our community. Last year we had a $25k grant for Thrive\, and we built the raised gardens\, painted and volunteered at the store. This year we have a $25k grant for the Mariners' Museum Discovery Project. The children's playground / educational area there needed to be updated. We are currently building new playground equipment and updating the landscape. We will be installing outdoor classroom furniture when it arrives. Other local club projects have included taking veterans on fishing trips and buying / building bikes for children in need.
